Documenting Resilience on Atlantic Avenue in Atlantic City, New Jersey

This project began during the pandemic lockdown. Atlantic City felt like a ghost town and the majority of storefronts were closed. Signs were posted on the doors or in the windows stating the closure or requirements to enter. As restrictions were slowly lifted, I began documenting the storefronts and their signs. I plan to revisit these locations, to interview and document the store owners, sharing their stories via book and gallery exhibition form. (project spans from on end of Atlantic Ave to the other end of Atlantic Ave. Not all photographs for this project are featured here)
