The Appetizer

The Appetizer was inspired by a book called, “Simulacra and Simulation” by Jean Baudrillard. This piece explores the idea of the real, synthetic, and representational. The materials in this piece are raw pork skin, homemade vegetable glycerin mixture creating a synthetic skin, and a folded photograph of skin.
